And the Winner of X-Factors Season 3 is.............. Alex & Sierra!

It’s always refreshing to see all of the contestants together again. The opening song was good. I didn’t pay much attention to it though; I was just ready to get the results out of the way instantly (laugh out loud). I was extremely anxious to see who would be crowned the winner out of the three remaining acts..

What I admire about Carlito Olivero is his persistence and the big heart he has. Since day 1 of his journey, you could tell that he was kid with a rough past that really wanted this opportunity. He needed this life changing experience, not only for himself, but for his family, and for that reason I could only give all of my respect to him. Carlito is a very ambitious young man, and with that ambition of his, he can obtain anything he desires. If anyone can’t see that, they’re blind as a bat. In my opinion, Carlito deserves to win the most.

Jeff Gutt is the other act in the final that I think deserves to win this competition. As it’s been stated and shown, he’s attempted to get his career off the ground with the motivation of his son’s wellbeing on his shoulders. You can tell he truly loves his son more than ANYTHING else existing, and nothing could get in the way of that. He is what you call a true single Father. For that, he gets my respect as well.

Throughout this competition Alex & Sierra have really grown, not just as singers, but as a couple. Just by observing them, you can tell that they genuinely love each other. But it takes a bit more than love to win the competition and to have a successfully career after the fact. As I have stated previously, I like them a lot, but, I do not think they should win. They are good, but not worth a ‘1 Million Dollar Recording Contract’. Everyone can’t win this competition, and in my opinion, it shouldn’t be them.

I loved Mary J. Blige’s performance. It was a different scene from what I’m use to seeing her do. I really liked that Jazz performance she did. It was a different shift that I’d like to see more of in her career.  As for Leona Lewis’s performance, it was very fun and flirty. I just wished she had showed more of her powerhouse voice in the song she sang. Ke$ha and Pitbull, it was okay, I enjoyed looking at the sexy models, but i would have liked to see Ke$ha actually there, instead of on the screen (laugh out loud). As for One Direction, whatever, I’m tired of talking about that dry boy band, no disrespect to the fans out there but they are so overrated.

After it was all said and done, Carlito ended up being the first to fall short, leaving Jeff and Alex & Sierra to go head to head over the title.  At this point, I was rooting for Jeff to take to the title, and long and behold Alex & Sierra was crowned the winner! Yes, I am not happy about the results, but I am not going to hate. I wish Alex and Sierra the best. I hope they have much success as a couple, and for their career. Congrats to them.

I really enjoyed going back and forth with you guys during this X-Factor process, thanks for all of the support and love you guys have shown on my blog, see you guys next season…

P.S. I’ll be blogging on American Idol, as usual, so to the AI fans see you soon. : )

The Elimination of Restless Road...

..Stalling time, stalling, and more time stalling. And then Mario had to trick us all, knowing we’re impatiently waiting for the results of the final 3. I seriously wanted to jump through my television screen and choke Mario for that. (Laugh out loud)

After the killing of the suspense, the first act announced to make it to the finals was Carlito Olivero. I was hoping and wishing he would make it to the finals, and it happened. Carlito deserves it. If you follow me on twitter, than you’ve seen me say numerous of times that Carlito is the next Marc Anthony. And I truly believe he is. I’ve said it for weeks now, and coincidentally he sung one of his songs last night. Carlito honors his Latin roots very well.

The guest performer of this week was the legendary Enrique Iglesias. Enrique has had hit after hit after hit, ever since the 90’s. I tip my hat off to Musicians like him. I tip my hat to him because he has not only sold millions of records all over the world, but he’s been successful with making that cross between the genres of Latin and Pop with ease. Enrique would be a very good mentor for Carlito, considering the genre and look Carlito is going for.

The next act to go to the finals was Alex and Sierra. I like them, although, I feel like their spot in the finals should have gone to someone else that was eliminated earlier on in the competition. In spite of that, I would really like to see where their career is going to go. As it has been stated, there hasn’t been a couple to do this musically since Sonny and Cher, so I’m anxious to see where this is going to go.

The bottom two acts this week resulted with Jeff Gutt and Restless Road.

For the past couple of weeks Jeff has managed to change my opinion on him, and he’s really been stepping it up with his song choices. Therefore, I was hoping he’d make it to the finals over Restless Road, which he did. Restless Road was the act that had the least amount votes, and honestly, I’m not surprised. America couldn’t have gotten done any better by getting rid of them this week. Their elimination was well OVERDUE. They aren’t that entertaining, and I honestly feel like they slid through this competition with ease, when they shouldn’t have. That group needs to major nurturing.. I wish them the best though.

I’m anxious to see who is going to take the title home next week. It shall be an interesting show to watch next week. I’ll meet you guys at the finish line.

The Elimination of Ellona Santiaga and Rion Paige.

The first act to leave the competition this week is Ellona Santiago… I just don’t understand this one at all. I know me and many others are oh so shocked about this. Ellona was clearly the best performer to grace the X-Factor stage this season. Ellona has/had what it takes to win this competition, and I know that I’m not the only person to think so. I’m REALLY disappointed about this elimination and the last. Poor Ellona, I know she’s probably hurt about this elimination, along with millions of others out there. I wish nothing but the best to Ellona, I hope her success goes up and beyond this competition. She really deserves it. Good luck Ellona. It’s time to show the music industry what you’re really made of! I wish to see you again soon. In fact, I know I will.

Emblem3, it’s been a long time coming. I like them a lot better, in comparison to One Direction. One Direction is so overrated in my opinion. It just seems like Emblem3 has a bit more spunk. Emblem3 has really become a success in such short time, kudos. As for that girl group that performed tonight, I’m not sure who they were, or where they came from. And to be brutally honest, I don’t care. Sorry. Come with a better introduction next time.

The bottom three acts of the night were Jeff Gutt, Rion Paige, and Carlito Olivero.

Yet again, I disagree with the bottom 2 acts, which are Carlito Olivero and Rion Paige. I favor these both two contestants for very different reasons. Rion is such an inspiration to people, and lots of inspiration to young people. Rion also has such a young pure heart, which is why I love her. As for Carlito, Carlito has come from the streets and has lived a bit more. Carlito is also such a marketable young male singer, I see him going somewhere. Actually, I see them both going somewhere far outside of this competition.

The last act to leave the competition this week is Rion Paige. To be honest, I saw it coming. Rion has so much ahead of her, and has so much time for growth and for success. I love Rion for her inspiration, bravery, and her innocence. I wish her nothing but the best. See you soon Rion, good luck.

Week after week I get more and more disgusted about the results of these talent competitions. It’s beyond crazy… See you guys at the Semi-finals.

The Elimination of Khaya Cohen and Tim Olstad...

The first act to leave the competition tonight is Khaya Cohen. I really liked her. She had ‘the X-Factor’, along with the voice, plus stage presence. Khaya has that strong voice that could take you to a different realm, which is what I love about her. She was one of my favorites of the season. It’s way too early for her departure. I hope she goes far, with the voice like hers, I’m sure she will. Good luck Khaya.

One Direction, the magnificent boy band (laugh out loud). I don’t really understand what all of the hype is about with them. The performance they did tonight was kind of dry. The only appealing thing about their performance was the stage set up. I liked the bright lights, and the animation the stage displayed. That is all.

The three bottom acts of the night were Restless Road, Tim Olstad, and Carlito Olivero.

As much as I disagree with the Tim Olstad and Carlito Olivero being the bottom two acts, someone has to go. These two both have amazing voices, which is why I don’t understand why they ended up in this position. Regardless of the results, Paulina is guaranteed to lose a mentee.

The second act to that leaves the competition this week is Tim Olstad. I could tell that Tim was hurt about Paulina sending him home, but she had to do it. If she didn’t do it, Simon was going to, in my opinion. If I had to choose between him and Carlito, I probably would’ve gone with Tim as well. Carlito has a bit more of star quality than Tim, although, I like them both. It was a bit too early for him to leave the competition as well, yet again, someone had to go.

P.S. I really hate watching weaker acts walk through the competition with ease, when stronger acts are the first to leave. It sucks! I guess that’s always going to happen in these talent competitions (sigh)… See you guys next week.

The Elimination of Carlos Guevara, 'Sweet Suspense', and Rachel Potter.

The first act to go home in the Top 13 (yesterday) was Carlos Guevara.

The second act to leave the competition this week is Sweet Suspense. I do not agree with that elimination. In my opinion Sweet Suspense was the best group in the competition, and the most marketable one. I liked them a lot, it was way too soon to say goodbye to them. I’ll miss there colorful/girly performances. I wish them the best.

Selena Gomez and that amateur performance she did tonight was not the least bit of entertaining to me. She tried to be sexy, and it just didn’t really work out. (Laugh out loud.) Now Fifth Harmony on the other hand, their performance was way more entertaining. I loved that playful/sexy performance they gave us. It was great to watch, and the song was very catchy. So the round of applause goes to Fifth Harmony.

In the process of eliminating the third act of the week, the bottom 3 acts of the night turned out to be Alex and Sierra, Rachel Potter, and Khaya Cohen. Alex and Sierra somehow managed to get to safety, leaving Rachel and Khaya to go head to head for survival.

The third act that fell short this week was Rachel Potter. In spite of me originally not wanting to see Rachel in the live shows, I can honestly say she changed my perspective on her. She’s a good singer, and she had great potential, but unfortunately America didn’t think so. Good luck Rachel, I hope to see you in the future.

P.S. am I the only person to notice the blue lighter Simon had in his hand? (Laugh out loud) See you guys next week.
